RECYCLING INITIATIVE
Our Aim
The TaskABLE team, with assistance from their families, support workers and peers, have established a bottle & can collection program for the following reasons:
- To help the environment by reducing waste to landfills, protecting ecosystems and wildlife, conserving natural resources, reducing demand for raw materials, reducing climate changing carbon emissions and more.
- To support TaskABLE, a small local business that facilitates meaningful and rewarding workforce engagement for people with intellectual impairments by embracing their individual talents, passions and capabilities.
- To bring people together and to create an opportunity for these young adults from TaskABLE to engage in a meaningful task that will encourage appropriate communication, presentation and social skills.
Containers for Change
Our team have a registered Scheme ID with Containers for Change. This means that refunds to TaskABLE, using the Scheme ID C10566556 or barcode, go directly to our small business
How you can get involved in the TaskABLE Recycling Initiative
You can get involved in our recycling initiative by collecting 10c cans, bottles and wine bottles from your business, neighbourhood or home. You can either deposit the recycling yourself at one of the Containers for Change centres or a member of our TaskABLE team can arrange to collect the recyclables on a regular basis. The funds raised when our team deposit the recycling will go towards improving the lives of our TaskABLE participants.
